Are Arsenal eyeing this winger to replace Alexis Sanchez?

Arsenal sent scouts to watch Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa this weekend, amidst speculation linking Alexis Sanchez with a possible exit.

The Chilean has supposedly told his team-mates that he wishes to leave the club this summer, and his exit will leave the club with some seriously big shoes to fill.

Our club are unlikely to line up any signings before the end of the season due to the unknown uture of our boss, but whether Arsene Wenger remains in charge or not, our manager of next season will have a number of targets recommended to him from our scouting network.

One player who could potentially come in to take some of the slack off his exit is Helder Costa, who is currently the stand-out star for Wolves.

The 23 year-old joined the club on loan during last summer, before the club made the move permanent in January for a club-record £13 Million, and his agent, super-agent Jorge Mendes, is supposedly keen on earning him a move already, with a £20 Million fee being talked of.

Chelsea and Arsenal are said to have had scouts watching the Portugese star this weekend, while his side took on Rotherham in the Championship, although he did not put in the perfect display, including missing a penalty to put us ahead in the opening half, and found himself taken off just after an hours play.

The young star has racked up 10 goals for his side this season, but has failed to earn a regular role in any of his former sides, and could pose a risk signing at this point in his career.

Monaco chose to overlook trying to sign him permanently after using him on loan during the 2015-16 term, but after thoroughly impressing Wolves, the club moved to tie him down to a four-and-a-half year deal only half-way through his pre-agreed loan deal.

Wolves clearly felt they had to move fast to secure his signature, but is he ready for the top level? Should Arsenal make their move this summer? Could he prove a long-term replacement for Alexis?
