Are Arsenal finally helping loyal match-day fans?

After years of Arsenal fans complaining about paying the highest prices in Europe to watch our beloved team, it would seem that the management have finally realised that they must stop squeezing cash out of the loyal match-day fans.

They have frozen ticket prices for home games not just for this season but for next season as well. The Arsenal Independent Supporters Club have long campaigned for the rights of season ticket holders made this announcement after talks with the club.

Arsenal announce two-year ticket price freeze
Arsenal have announced that they are freezing all general admission season ticket and match ticket prices for the next two seasons i.e. for 2016/17 and 2017/18.

The club is also providing an additional £4 discount to Arsenal supporters attending away Premier League matches, in addition to the £30 cap on away tickets announced by the Premier League.

This will ensure Arsenal fans will pay a maximum of £26 when travelling to away Premier League matches.

AISA has welcomed the news and has urged the Club to continue to extend and develop its support for fans, and particularly to look at how it recognises and rewards the loyalty of all fans who support the team both home and away.

That is good news for Arsenal fans, and especially away supporters from all clubs. Considering that 90% of the club’s income comes from TV rights and sponsors, there is no reason why Arsenal can’t make things even easier for match-day fans in the future…..
