Are latest Morata reports a boost to Arsenal move?

Real Madrid are claimed to have postponed a meeting with Juventus in which they were set to discuss Alvaro Morata’s future.

The Spanish international’s transfer has been speculated in the press for the past few months, with Real claimed to be ready to trigger his release clause this summer, before selling him on for a sizeable profit.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all said to be interested in signing him from the Champions League winners, although it had been reported that Real Madrid would be in want of around £45 Million in order to sell him on.

A meeting between the Spanish and Italian giants is now said to have been postponed, which one source claimed was a boost to the English side’s bids, citing that Juve could now sell the star on to whichever club they wished.

Juventus have said on a number of occasions that they wanted to keep Morata in Italy, which tells me this supposed ‘boost’ is in no way shape or form, helping our club’s bid to try and sign him this summer.

Allegri previously stated: “I would hate to lose any player, He’s got back to doing well once again. I hope he stays at Juventus.”

We appeared to have changed targets in recent weeks, having triggered a release clause to try and sign Jamie Vardy from Premier League winners Leicester City, but the striker is yet to decide whether he wants to make that switch or not.

We could now be set to miss out on both, but with the transfer window yet to officially open, there is no need to worry that another option will not turn up before the season begins.

Who should we switch our attention to?
