Are these three new signings the future of Arsenal?

Arsenal have signed Eddie Nketieh, Ben Sheaf and Matt Macey down to new contracts, but how far can they go?

Striker Nketieh has been the most impressive this season, coming off the bench to overturn Norwich’s lead in the Carabao Cup with a brace, and has notched up four appearances in total for the senior side thus far.

Matt Macey has also had eye-opening performances making a number of saves to deny Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League, as well as keeping the Canaries to only one goal also.

The above pair appear likely to feature in tomorrow night’s Europa League dead rubber with Bate Borisov, with the goalkeeper most likely to be starting the match-up.

Ben Sheaf is also on the shortlist to make the squad for the trip to Belarus, with the 19 year-old hoping to make his second senior appearance for the club, with his only previous outing coming as an 89th minutes substitute in Serbia previously.

The biggest hope for the future will no doubt be Nketieh, but the path to the first-team will be tough with a number of senior options available for the role at present, including club record signing Alexandre Lacazette.

The trio will have to take their chances, which for now will mostly come in the domestic cup competitions and in Europe, but you would feel that there could potentially be a loan deal lined up for the pair next season.

Which of the trio would be deserving a shot at staying in the Premier League on a loan basis? Is there proof of benefit of staying with the club in order to progress or is regular action most necessary to progression?
