Arsenal are already looking to next season’s title

Arsene Wenger has been talking about Arsenal’s season and he is aware that we lost this years itle at the start of the season, so he is looking to finish this campaign very strongly and have the confidence in place to have a flying start in the next one.

“That’s our challenge, to finish well and take that strength into the next season,” Wenger said in today’s press conference. “The start of the season is linked with belief as well. We can just strengthen the belief by finishing well.

“Manchester City had ups and downs and started stronger than us, so they were a long time in front of us. Manchester United are a bit like Arsenal, they had a slow start and became stronger in the second part of the season.

“I think our slow start was down to post-World Cup problems and to the fact as well that we had to play the qualifiers for the Champions League. It always takes a lot out of you but overall I believe that we’ve found a better balanced team during the season as well.”

Of course there is still work to be done this season if we are to avoid the Champions League Qualifiers this time, as a finish in the Top Three is not yet assured. Hull on Monday is by no means an easy game, but I have a feeling that our visit to Old Trafford in our second last game is going to be the decisive one. Please remain unbeaten until the end of the season, Arsene!
