Do not be too confident Arsenal fans by DN
On the face of it, Arsenal have been given a huge boost in our fight for a top four finish in the Premier League, but the players must not let their focus drop or we could be coming back down to earth with a bump today.
West Ham are having a right old nightmare in the build up to their visit to north London today. Already missing one of their main centre backs in Winston Reid, they have now lost his usual partner at the back James Tomkins, who dislocated his shoulder in training.
They also have three of their main strikers on the treatment table so you would expect the Gunners to roll them over at the Emirates today, even if we do have a few of our own team missing. But just look at the confidence we had going in to the Monaco game and look how that turned out.
We went to Old Trafford with lower expectations and ready for a hard game, just as we did against Man City, and the Gunners all performed. Somehow Arsene Wenger has to instil his team with as much of that attitude as possible in the build up because once they are on the pitch there is not much the manager can do.
Have we got this one Gooners or is there another slip around the corner?
