Arsenal battling Premier League rivals for the signature of versatile teenager

Arsenal has joined a number of Premier League sides who are looking to sign Peterborough youngster, Ricky-Jade Jones.

Jones has become the latest in the long list of talents that have been developed by Peterborough and the club is hoping that he can fetch them some decent money.

Jones just signed a professional deal for the Posh after making his debut for them this season, he has been attracting the attention of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The reports further claim that Tottenham has been the first team to make an official approach for his signature tabling an offer said to be £2 Million but their offer was rebuffed.

Peterborough is hoping to get a fee significantly higher than that when he finally leaves them and Arsenal will be hoping they win the auction that is almost certain to happen.

Arsenal has built a reputation as a team that helps to develop talent and they hope that reputation will help the youngster choose them over the others.

The likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have been given chances to impress in the Arsenal first team this season and that could help to convince Jones to make the move to North London.

Jones is a fast attacking player who can play either through the middle or on the wings.
