Arsenal boss MUST get tough and DROP Alexis!

One of the best things about the Arsenal and Chile international star Alexis Sanchez, and one of the reasons the former Barcelona forward has become a firm favourite in England since coming to the Premier League, is his desire to win and his willingness to work hard, pressing Opposition defenders and also tracking back to help his own.

We have heard his Arsenal team mates talk about his determination to win even in training and his reluctance to ever lower his work rate. Even when he had a little injury, Alexis still wanted to train and come back early so the backroom staff had to force him to take it easy.

As commendable as all this is, I think it is time for Arsene Wenger to step in, take control and drop his star man from the starting line-up, at least against QPR tonight. This is because the 26-year old is starting to show signs of fatigue, perhaps even burn out, and we simply cannot let that happen to such a vital player at such a crucial stage of the season.

Check out this Daily Mail report which shows that Alexis´effectiveness in terms of goals and assists has dropped dramatically. The report tries to suggest that it might be because of the return to the team of Mesut Ozil after injury, but I don´t buy that. It just so happens that Ozil´s return has coincided with the Chilean´s injury and his energy levels dropping.

I think the boss needs to explain just why Alexis is being dropped and tell him to put his feet up for a few days. But he must make sure the player does as he´s told. Do you agree?
