Arsenal boss Wenger hoping for quick return for Sead Kolasinac

Sead Kolasinac limped off during Arsenal’s win over Swansea today but Arsene Wenger is hoping he is fit to return as early as next week.

The Bosnian international has been an immediate hit in North London since joining on a free transfer this summer, and will be a huge miss should he fall foul of injury.

Sead was taken off during the win over Swansea this afternoon, but Arsene Wenger isn’t worried about an extended absence.

He said; “It’s his hip. He had that before but he came back.

“We hope to get him ready (for Manchester City next weekend).”

Wenger also added that he is very happy with his summer signing, claiming he has already shown the qualities that he brings to our side.

Arsene added: “He has the qualities that suit his position as a wing back.

“He has absolute body power in his game that is needed in the Premier League.”

“it’s just down to quality. I believe that since he has arrived he has convinced everyone that he is a good signing.

“When you see the quality of performance, you see there are some good deals out there.”

Kolasinac has been tremendous since arriving this summer, and is quickly becoming one of my favourite Arsenal players. The defender brings real fight and guile to our side and is already getting a reputation as a no-nonsense type.

Sead would be a huge loss if he was to miss the anticipated trip to Manchester City next weekend, where we will be hoping to bless the Premier League leaders with their first loss of the Premier League campaign.

Do we have plenty of cover for Kolasinac? Is he contender for Premier League signing of the season?
