Arsenal are claimed to have made an offer to sign Mario Lemina from Juventus this summer.
The versatile midfielder is able to play in a number of positions, having featured at centre-back, central midfield, as well as at full-back and on the wings, and would come as a great squad member to have available, especially with the injuries regularly picked up at the Emirates.
The Gunners are said to have had a €16 Milliion bid rejected by the Italian giants, with the club holding out for €20 Million, which should not be a problem if our interest is serious about his capture.
Interestingly, Lemina has only just agreed to join the Old Lady this summer on a permanent deal, after spending the season on loan with the club from Marseille.
The 22 year-old spent much of the season on the bench, being selected to start in only seven league matches, but was in the starting line-up against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final win, and could be keen to add more silverware with the club.
A deal for Lemina could end our pursuit of Shkodran Mustafi of Valencia, which could allow more game time to young English duo Rob Holding and Calum Chambers this season, with the former expected to be given his Premier League debut today against Liverpool.
The 20 year-old shined in Bolton’s first-team last term, and was given their club’s Player of the Year award, but the club was relegated, and it would be a huge step up to take on rivals Liverpool in the campaign’s opening weekend.
