Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is set to decide on his future this weekend, having fallen down the pecking order in North-London.
The 21 year-old joined from Southampton two years ago, and looked to be impressing in makeshift outings at centre-back and at right-back after his arrival, but has struggled to make his mark on the first-team over the past year.
Rob Holding has since arrived, and was last week selected ahead of him for the tie away at Leicester City, and with the imminent arrival of Shkodran Mustafi, Chambers is set to struggle for match minutes.
The versatile man is now expected to make a loan move away before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, with a host of English and European clubs expected to offer him a role.
Hull, Middlesbrough, West Ham, Stoke and Derby are all credited with an interest, while he may prefer to experience a foreign league, with Espanyol, Valencia and Roma all believed to be possibilities.
Stoke are changing their style of play to a more creative one, and that may be look attractive for Wenger, while Middlesbrough would be an exciting club to play for under Aitor Karanka, who I believe is one of the upcoming managers who could go far within the game.
Chambers will likely hold talks with Wenger about where would be best for him to gain experience this season, but they are awaiting the official offers to come in before a decision is made.
The former Southampton youth product will likely be on the bench for today’s match with Watford, and then a decision is expected to be made within 48 hours.
