Arsenal facing NINE games in December – Emery’s rotations will be fully tested

There is always a lot of anticipation ahead of the dreaded busy Christmas schedule, and looking at the fixtures that have been changed for the TV stations today it made me look closer at our future fixtures, as Christmas is looming closer every day….

Arsenal finish November with an amazing 3500 mile round trip to Vorskla Poltava on the evening of Thursday 29th, and after returning on the Friday morning they then have just two days to prepare for the North London Derby! And then just three more days before going to Old Trafford. Here is the schedule already decided…

That is one gruelling schedule for the Gunners and that doesn’t even include the Caraboa Cup Quarter Final which is on the 19th December. We usually get at least that far in the competition most years, and Unai Emery seems keen to try and play his best team possible in every competition. the coach will certainly have to mix and match his players but hopefully we will already have qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League by then, so could send a weakened squad to Vorskla and play kids against Qarabag. We will need all our very best players rested for the crucial games against Tottenham and Man United…..

Hopefully we will be up challenging at the top of the League by then, but we will certainly know how good we are after December when we also have to play Liverpool, as well as United and the Spuds…

Onwards and Upwards!
