Arsenal finally close to landing one of their primary targets

If there is one thing that has epitomised Arsenal’s transfer window it has been hesitation, however, it seems that they are finally starting to act decisively.

It is being reported today that they have put down another bid for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney for £25 Million, thus meeting the Scottish Champions valuation.

There is also some credibility behind the reports with BBC Scotland reporter Chris McLaughlin, confirming the reports.

Also, other fairly credible outlets, though not always, Skysports as an example, have also confirmed the bid.

This tells me that we can be fairly certain that Arsenal has done what a lot of people have been urging them to do, put in a bid that the Hoops will agree to.

Only on Friday the Celtic manager Neil Lennon had said that no bids have been put in and that Tierney would remain a Hoop until such a time that the clubs valuation had been met.

Well, that has happened but it does not mean that we are there just yet.

Napoli is still hovering and then there is the medical which may not be a foregone conclusion when you consider the 22-year-old has just had a double hernia operation.

But all things considered, you have to think this one is very close to finally happening and that Kieran Tierney is set to become a Gunner.
