Arsenal in deep Doodoo after Man United beat Boro

After the awful recent run of results had seen Arsenal win just three times and lose six, crashing out of the Champions League and slipping out of the Premier League’s top four places, Arsene Wenger will have been hoping for a bit of help from elsewhere this weekend.

It was not to be for the Frenchman, though, who nothing seems to be going right for at the moment. Instead of a team rejuvenated and energised by a change of manager, the Middlesborough that Manchester United faced at the Riverside today were timid and not much of a challenge at all until they were two down.

The Boro team did rally a bit and scored a goal but then a terrible error from Victor Valdes gifted them a third which saw a very grateful Jose Mourinho and his Man United players claim all three points and go above Arsenal in the table.

Unlike the other teams above us we have no games in hand on United and can only hope that their heavy fixture list causes problems while our own form takes a drastic upturn. I am struggling to see it though, Gooners, are you?
