The Spain international Alvaro Morata’s future has been a huge talking point this summer, with many reports claiming that the Spanish giants wReal Madrid ould re-sign him from Juventus, via a buy-back clause included in his initial sale, before selling him on for a sizeable profit.
The first part of that has been proven true, with him returning to Real for a reported £23 Million, but his future still remains up in the air.
Stories have come out to claim that he would be unwilling to play a bit-part role in the Spanish capital, which could see the club forced to decide between Karim Benzema and the recently returned star.
Arsenal have recently signed Takuma Asano, but the 21 year-old is not the top striker that the club have needed, and the striker hunt is believed to have continued.
Alexandre Lacazette has also had his move to Arsenal ruled out today, with his club Lyon claiming he is not for sale, and the North-London side are now believed to be looking re-ignite their bid to bring Morata in once again.
The 23 year-old has shown himself to be a big-game player, setting a club record for Juventus, by scoring in five consecutive Champions League matches, including both semi-finals against Real Madrid in 2015, and the losing final against Barcelona the same year.
We are now claimed to be looking to tempt him to make the switch to London, by offering him over double his current wage, with £144,000 per week believed likely to beat their rivals to his signature.
Will this be enough to land the striker? Or will we still struggle to agree a fee with the European champions?
