Arsenal must beware despite Kane´s goal drought

It remains to be seen just how strong a side Arsenal will be faced with in out away game with Tottenham in the Capital One cup, but I suspect that their main striker Harry Kane will be in the starting line up. That might not be too much of a worry to most Arsenal fans, as the Spurs centre forward has yet to score for his club this season, but I think we need to be very wary indeed.

It would be just about typical for him to find his shooting boots against Arsenal, just as Chelsea suddenly remembered how to play last weekend. Kane scored both goals when we lost at Spurs last season, so that will help his confidence levels and a derby game in front of a vocal home crowd will give him the perfect opportunity to get off the mark.

With Gabriel suspended, the return to fitness of Per Mertesacker is just in time and I think that Wenger needs to keep Laurent Koscielny in the side alongside him, as we must do all we can to ensure that Kane´s goal drought continues and there is no Ciquelin to provide the back four with protection.

One mistake and an early goal could be all Kane needs to rediscover his form of last season and that could be very bad news for Arsenal.
