Arsenal player ratings for Swansea win – Campbell MOTM

THe stats might show that some of his Arsenal team mates perhaps performed a little better or influenced the game more, with Mesut Ozil’s all round game and assists, Giroud’s centre forward work and headed goal, Koscielny’s defensive steel and goal and Alexis’ usual Duracell bunny act all helping the Gunners to a vital win.

But I am giving my Man of the Match decision to Joel Campbell, who really grabbed this rare chance with both hands, working tirelessly to help Bellerin as well as causing problems in attack and taking his goal very well.

Cech 7.5 – Made some vital saves at key points.

Bellerin 7 – Given a stern test by Montero but kept going well.

Mertesacker 6 – Not the best of games from the big German who could have cost us the points.

Koscielny 8 . Got forward well and scored to add to his sharp defensive work.

Monreal 6.5 – Struggled defensively and in attack.

Coquelin 7.5 – Another solid and valuable game from our midfield warrior.

Cazorla 7.5 – Defensively naive at times but still set the tempo.

Campbell 8.5 – Fantastic shift on his Premier League debut. Hopefully much more to come.

Ozil 8 – A bit quiet to start but his class shone through in the end.

Alexis 7.5 – Worked hard as usual but lacking a little cutting edge.

Giroud 7.5 – Recovered well after early miss. Good centre forard performance.

Subs: None of the three had much time to do anything.
