Arsenal player ratings from Bournemouth win – Alexis MOTM

Even before Alexis Sanchez made the game safe for Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, with a late goal to make it 3-1 to the Gunners after a tough test against AFC Bournemouth, I would have made the Chile international star my Man of the Match, even though he did not have his usual impact as he was still our most dangerous player and had opened the scoring after pouncing on a poor back pass.

Cech 7 – Did nothing wrong and made at least one top class save.

Debuchy 6 – Only lasted 15 minutes but his score is for the impressive performance up to that point.

Mustafi 6 – Going through a sticky patch but stood up well and showed determination.

Koscielny 7 – Another strong game from the Frenchman, won all four tackles, seven clearances and six interceptions.

Monreal 6.5 – Unlucky on penalty but made up with assist for Walcott’s goal. Generally solid.

Elneny 7 – Worked hard and performed well in centre. Joined in attacks when possible.

Xhaka 6 – Was a bit anonymous at times. Needs to step up.

Ozil 7 – Some great stuff from the super German.

Walcott 7 – Looked sharp and dangerous, put in a shift and got his reward with a goal to wet the baby’s head.

Oxlade-Chamberlain 6.5 – Offers something different and showed great desire and direct threat.

Alexis 8 – Tireless and always trouble for opposing defenders. Two well taken goals.

subs:
Gabriel 6 – Defensively sound but lacks attacking threat of other right backs.

Giroud 7 – Great work on third goal and had positive impact again from bench.

Ramsey 6.5 – Getting back to his best and looking hungry.
