Arsenal provide update on Dani Ceballos’ hamstring injury

According to Arsenal’s official website, midfielder Dani Ceballos is aiming to return to full training by the middle of December.

The Spaniard injured his left hamstring in our second Europa League meeting with Portuguese outfit Vitoria earlier this month.

The latest update from the club suggests that he’ll be on the sidelines for around three weeks at least.

The Real Madrid loanee’s setback should lead to more minutes for promising youngster Joe Willock and could even encourage Unai Emery to bring Granit Xhaka back into the fold sooner rather than later.

Ceballos even sent out a message to Arsenal fans this afternoon on social media. Take a look here.

Ceballos has made 17 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions so far this season. The Spaniard is a useful versatile option in midfielder but he’s yet to make a starting spot his own.

With the ace expected to be back in full training by the mid-December period, we can only hope that the 23-year-old will be ready for action once the hectic Christmas period starts.

With games coming thick and fast over the festive period, we need all the options we can count on to give ourselves the best chance of winning games and reigniting our challenge for a top four spot.
