Arsenal star out of Wales semi-final after Man of Match performance

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey will miss Wales semi-final match-up against Cristiano Ronaldo, after starring against Belgium tonight.

The Arsenal star picked up his third Man of the Match award for the current tournament, after helping his side to eliminate the Red Devils, who are ranked number 2 in the FIFA World Rankings.

Ramsey capped off a fine midfield display with an assist, which was slotted away in spectacular fashion by Hal Robson Kanu, who is currently without a club. He will certainly not be shy of offers after such a huge impact on the game, but will be concentrated on his current task.

Wales have never reached the semi-final stage of a tournament previously, but are well deserved of their place this year, and you would not rule out them winning the tournament on recent displays.

Unfortunately, the Dragons will need to overcome Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal without vice-captain Ramsey, who picked up an unfortunately yellow card, for a (deemed) deliberate hand-ball to break up the play. The Gunner will be able to return for the final should his side manage to progress without him.

Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny also remain in the competition, and could all qualify for the last four should Germany and France overcome Italy and Iceland respectively.

Can Wales continue their impressive Euro 2016 bid without Ramsey? Will Bale be able to step-up and fill the void left by their best performer thus far? Or will Ronaldo finally find some form and kill the passionate Welsh run which has opened so many eyes?
