Arsenal sweating on three MORE injury scares

All in all it was a nightmare day for Arsenal fans yesterday. We lost our best defender in the opening stages and we lost our most influential striker towards the end, as well as dropping two points at lowly Norwich. There is no doubt that we all have been expecting Alexis Sanchez to strain his hamstring again, after all the recent scares, and Wenger is worried that it could turn out to be a serious one this time.

Le Prof said after the game: “The players are there to play football and not to be rested when the press decides they need to be rested.

“He says it is a kick on his hamstring. I fear the reality is worse than that.”

We are all very worried, Arsene, you can be sure of that! But we also have the terrible situation of Santi Cazorla getting injured early on as well, but Wenger did not take him off and it got worse and worse the more the game went on. This has also worried the Arsenal boss. “In the first half he got a kick on the knee and it got worse.” he said. “I don’t know if he has jaded his knee ligament or if it was just a kick on the nerve, but the worrying thing was it got worse during the game.

“For Koscielny it was a kick on his hip and he could not move at all. We have to assess all of that.”

So now we are all waiting with bated breath to find out how serious these injuries are. For the moment we have Gabriel to come in as a straight replacement for Koscielny. We also have Ramsey, who has just returned from injury himself, who can easily take over from Cazorla in the centre, but is there anyone at all that can replace the power of Sanchez up front?
