Arsenal tactics – Ramsey straight back in? Campbell out?

It was a big plus point for Arsenal fans to hear this week that Aaron Ramsey was back in training after an injury lay off and Arsene Wenger had no hesitation in putting the name of the Wales international midfielder straight in to the match day squad, although Ramsey did not start but came one with about 20 minutes of the Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb left.

The question for the prof now is whether to remain a bit cautious with Ramsey, who has been no stranger to the Arsenal treatment room in recent years. Another question is where to play the Welshman as Ramsey himself would clearly prefer a central role and that is where he has done his best work for us.

The Gunners do have limited options on the right flank though, where Ramsey has been playing so far this season and the obvious choice for most Arsenal fans would be for him to replace Joel Campbell for the Premier League trip to Norwich on Sunday.

I am not so sure for a couple of reasons. While Campbell has not exactly set the world alight for us, he has shown promise and he was looking better in the game against Zagreb. Players need games and I think it might be worth giving the young forward another chance to impress this weekend, especially in a game as winnable as Norwich.

Ramsey could then come on when needed, whether on the right side or in the middle and the chances of his injury recurring would be greatly reduced. What do you think Gooners, should Campbell start again or should the boss bring Ramsey straight back?
