Arsenal team news – predicted lineup from the media and blogs

Arsenal team news – what lineup does the media think Freddie will go with?

Last time out against Brighton I was not at all sure what team Freddie Ljungberg would pick. However, it seems that there is now a better understanding of what sort of team the Swede is likely to put out.

The 42-year-old has already said he is looking towards the senior players and so it is unlikely there will be too many youngsters sent out against the Hammers tonight.

So, you would have thought there would be a general consensus among the media and blogs. Well, not quite but there is still some agreement.

The Express

Leno, Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Xhaka, Guendouzi, Aubameyang, Ozil, Martinelli, Lacazette.

Evening Standard

Leno, Bellerin, Luiz, Holding, Tierney; Guendouzi, Xhaka; Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette.

The Guardian

Leno, Bellerin, Luiz, Sokratis, Tierney; Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang.

The Independent

Leno, Bellerin, Luiz, Holding, Tierney, Guendouzi, Xhaka; Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Red London

Leno, Bellerin, Chambers, Holding, Tierney, Guendouzi, Torreira, Xhaka, Pepe, Aubameyang, Martinelli.

So, it seems that most think that Pepe will start, same with Tierney, however, there is not so much consensus on Lacazette with a couple feeling that Martinelli will replace him. Guedouzi is also set to start and Holding could be set for a recall.

Even though there is no unanimity you can see that there is a hardcore of players that most media do agree on.
