Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – Henderson, ‘New Ozil’ Yazici, Omur, Ozil future?

The international break leads to a number of Arsenal rumours to sprout up (most likely due to boredom), but we don’t wish to bore you with too much of it

The Mesut Ozil rumours are bound to be running all season long until a solution is revealed, and he most certainly looks to be on his way out of the club in my opinion. The Mirror claim that he is just as likely to stay as he is to go however, and believe that Manchester United and Barcelona are leading the way should he opt to jump ship.

We are being linked with the possible capture of one of United’s young hopefuls also, with Dean Henderson believed to be on our radar. The 20 year-old goalkeeper is into the final year of his contract also, and is believed to be keen on figuring out his best route to regular action with a top side. He is currently impressing with League One’s Shrewsbury Town with five clean sheets from 10 outings, Benfica are also credited with an interest.

The two other players we are being linked with are both playing alongside each other in midfield for Trabzonspor.

Yusuf Yazici is being hailed as the ‘new Ozil‘ by the club’s fans, after he broke onto the scene with six goals and 10 assists in his opening 22 Super lig matches. The 20 year-old is claimed to have been the subject of a £14.4 Million bid by Arsenal, while Monaco, Manchester United and Benfica are also credited with an interest.

Another Trabzonspor midfielder linked with a move to us is Abdulkadir Omur. His former coach has insisted that we are leading Atletico Madrid in the race for his signature, with the 18 year-old impressing in his limited outings this term.

“Arsenal want to sign Abdulkadir,” Tekelioglu said.

“I heard that Atletico Madrid are interested in him as well.

“But Arsenal are ahead of them in the race to sign Omur.

“Arsene Wenger does a good job when it comes to discovering young players.

“Abdulkadir will be a success when he moves to Europe.”

Could we still persuade Ozil to stay? Or could we simply replace him with the ‘new Ozil’? Which of the young hopes appears the best acquisition?
