Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – Mbappe, Bacca, Bale, Ozil wanted

The season is well into the nitty gritty of the campaign, which means the transfer window is only around the corner, and preparations for the summer moves will be well under way.

Our new formation may play a huge part in our future dealings, with the recent switch to a 3-4-2-1 system meaning a change in priorities.

The strongly coveted Kylian Mbappe is a name everybody is talking about, after helping his Monaco side to the Champions League semi-final, as well as playing a key role in his side’s push for the Ligue 1 title, which they are three points from sealing with three matches to play. The latest is that we are supposedly willing to match his monster £85 Million asking price, while promising him a central role in our side.

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Carlos Bacca from AC Milan, and Calcio Mercato claims to be exclusively announcing that he WILL leave the club in the coming window. Personally I foresee a move to China, or maybe even West Ham, but he is not a man I would be expecting to get 20 goals a season from.

Stan Collymore has urged Arsene Wenger to make a bold bid to try and sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, while other reports claim Manchester United have already agreed terms. Of course I’m not to believe the latter, although I would love for our club to try and prise him from the Galacticos, although I can’t imagine they would be willing to sell.

Barcelona are claimed to be looking at bringing Mesut Ozil back to Spain this summer, to replace aging midfielder Andres Iniesta. The German international has come under increased pressure from fans this term, and with only 12 months left to run on his contract, we may be forced to consider his exit. If Barca were to come calling, I think Ozil may be tempted to go.

Can you see any truth in any of the latest rumours?
