Arsenal v Ostersund Review – Mighty Ostersund make Arsenal look like amateurs

So this is the team that Arsenal put out tonight, and there is simply no way that you could say that Wenger has put out a total team of reserves, but no matter the gulf in the quality (or the cost) of these multimillionaire reserves playing against a tiny Swedish hurdy-gurdy men.

Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Chambers, Holding, Kolasinac, Mkhitaryan, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Wilshere, Welbeck.

Subs: Macey, Monreal, Mustafi, Xhaka, Nelson, Nketiah, Willock.

Well straight away, for no reason that I can fathom, Ostersund were all over a nervous Arsenal defence, and nearly scored in the first fve minutes.

But come to 20 minutes and Ostersund were in front, which was only going to make the Arsenal defence more nervous. And so it proved as amazingly the Swedes were 2-0 up just two minutes later! And shall we ask Arsene Wenger if he was nervous at this point?

After that Arsenal realised that it was not such an easy game after all, but when Welbeck got a free header on goal, it was straight at the keeper, and when Wilshere had a shot, it probably landed back in Sweden.

As you can tell I’m not really impressed right now. Chelsea played Barcelona and matched them, we are playing Ostersund and LOSING. Do me favour!

I am not going to go on, because Arsenal were absolutely rubbish and I am just glad we were not playing Bayern Munich or Barcelona this week.
