Arsenal won’t win title so may as well sell Sanchez and co.

Throughout the summer Arsenal fans have been told by Arsene Wenger that he will not be open to the transfer of the Chile international Alexis Sanchez, especially not to a direct Premier League rival. Despite the fact that it seemed clear that the striker would not be signing a new contract and would leave on a free transfer next summer this seemed good to us because of the bigger chance it would give Arsenal of winning the EPL title this season.

Well Gooners, are there any of you left out there who is holding on to any hope of this being the year Arsenal are crowned champions of England once again, even if Wenger and the board did hold firm and hold on to our star player? The Gunners are in an absolute mess to be honest, worse than ever, and it is hard to see us finishing in the top four never mind the top one.

In that case we may as well take the best offer we can get for the Chilean and for anyone else like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil and Mustafi. Even if it strengthens the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool or Manchester United I do not think it matters because we are not direct rivals at the minute.

Arsenal may as well keep as much money as possible and hand it to the next manager because even Kroenke and the Wenger faithful board must now see they should have replaced the Frenchman at the end of last season and will surely do so before his current two year deal runs out.

I am sorry if this sounds defeatist Arsenal fans, but I think it is purely realistic and we may as well make the best of a bad situation don’t you think?
