Arsenal’s Boro draw NO disaster – as long as…..

Of course Arsenal fans will be feeling disappointed today, as we all thought that today would see the Gunners sitting on top of the Premier League table with another three points in the bag after a comfortable win over Premier League strugglers Middlesborough.

Sadly that is not the case but to be fair I think we should not be too downhearted today as this unexpected draw may not turn out to be the disaster that some are taking it to be. It remains to be seen whether Man City will punish us further by winning their game against Southampton.

Even if they do we are still going to see at least one more of our other title rivals drop points, with Chelsea and Manchester United playing each other. We have already seen Tottenham fail to win, so the worst that Arsenal can expect is to finish the weekend in second place.

That is one reason for Arsenal fans to not despair too much about this match. The other is that it may just have served as a timely reminder to the players that nothing comes easy. As long as this stirs up the team to greater efforts in the future then I reckon that no harm will be done.

Of course we wanted to win but at this stage of the season nothing is even close to being done and dusted. So as long as the Gunners take this as a warning about the dangers of complacency and we come back from Sunderland next weekend with all three points then all will be right in the world again.

Do you think the draw will Boro will end up being just a blip in an otherwise happy campaign, or is this the first sign that Arsenal will blow it again?
