Arsenal’s new signings join squad on way to Australia – Who got left behind?

Happy Days! Arsenal’s first pre-season game is just three days away as the 25 man squad is now en-route to Sydney to play two top Aussie sides. The good news is that Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac are on the plane, and other players that we thought could be leaving like; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are also flying.

The only ones left behind are our players that are late back due to international tournaments like Sanchez, Bellerin, Chambers, Holding and Mustafi, and Cazorla, Wilshere and Gabriel are on the injury list so will resume treatment in London.

The ommisions that are likely to be in transfer negotiations are; Jenkinson, Apkom, Debuchy, Perez, Gibbs, Campbell and Szczesny. We can expect all of these to be playing for new clubs next season…

Wenger has also brought some youngsters into the fold. Le Prof had already said that Maitland-Niles would be promoted to the first team, and others from the academy on the plane are Donyell Malen, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock, Krystian Bielik and Cohen Bramall.

Here is the full travelling party:

Petr Cech (GK)
Emi Martinez (GK)
David Ospina (GK)
Krystian Bielik
Cohen Bramall
Francis Coquelin
Mohamed Elneny
Olivier Giroud
Alex Iwobi
Sead Kolasinac
Laurent Koscielny
Alexandre Lacazette
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Donyell Malen
Per Mertesacker
Nacho Monreal
Reiss Nelson
Eddie Nketiah
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Mesut Ozil
Aaron Ramsey
Theo Walcott
Danny Welbeck
Joe Willock
Granit Xhaka

So it looks like Wenger is keeping to his word of keeping most of last season’s squad together, and the only contract rebel not on the plane is of course Alexis Sanchez, so let the speculation continue…..

I am sooooo looking forward to getting back to watching the Arsenal in action!
