Arsenal’s Sanogo set for Premier League transfer! Good news?

A few weeks ago it looked like the Arsenal and France under 21 international star Yaya Sanogo would be heading back to his homeland to play. It was only going to be a loan deal in order to get the young striker the regular game time and competitive playing experience that does not seem to be on the cards for him with the Gunners this season.

But Arsene Wenger does not seem too keen on that plan, preferring instead to see his promising young Gunner remain in the Premier League, as an Arsenal.com report has revealed. And with our England international centre forward Danny Welbeck still out of action with a thigh injury, he might not be going anywhere for a bit.

Wenger said, “[Sanogo] will go out on loan. My option is preferably in England.

“We are very short today of an option in England and maybe he should go to an English Premier League club.

“I want Joel Campbell for the future to stay here.”

So it looks like Sanogo is way down in the Arsenal forwards’ pecking order, but there is some good news for the 21-year old, as a Metro report claims that there is strong interest in taking him on loan from two Premier League clubs, Hull City and Crystal Palace. The report claims that the latter is more likely to get him, with their new boss Alan Pardew keen to strengthen the Eagles’ striking options.

This could be a great move for Sanogo and the Gunners, although I think a move to play for Steve Bruce at Hull would be just as good for him. I hope that one of them comes off though, as I do think Sanogo has great potential but does need to play a lot more often if he is to realise it. Do you agree?
