Arsene, Arsenal fans are tired of you blaming everyone else……

If Arsene continues to blame everything else, nobody will take him seriously. by Konstantin Mitov

Hello guys. I’m sick and tired of talking about Arsene, I really am. I used to watch every Arsenal interview after the games, but now when Wenger speaks I prefer not to bother myself with it too much, but the absurdity of his comments never fails to amaze.

It’s almost a week later and Arsene is still speaking of the Champions league. He said this ‘For example, I watched the last 20 minutes of PSG v Barca again. It’s interesting when you see all the conclusions that came out of the game. And the same people who spoke after the game said with 10 minutes to go that PSG was absolutely outstanding. Ten minutes later, they’re absolutely rubbish’.

Now Arsene called to be judged at the end of the season quite a few times I recall. It’s funny, because an elimination tie in the champions league is 180 minutes and if at 170 you’re through, and at 180 you are out, conceding 3 goals, people will judge you poorly. We played two decent first halves again Bayern, but all people will remember is 10-2 on aggregate. It’s just that Arsene is doing whatever it takes to take the issue away from the fact it’s his fault for that.

I reckon he is just deluded and really believes that, or he’s doing a very good job of deflecting all the negativity and hiding the terrible job the board and the players did, because they should take part of the blame too. Or maybe it’s quite a bit of both. The problem is that when you keep disagreeing with everyone, you’re either a genius who saw something before it’s about to happen, or you are living your own world. With Arsene it’s the latter sadly.

Otherwise he would’ve delivered, he would’ve put a proper challenger for the title or the title itself. He failed over 12 years and I would divide Arsenal’s squads over that period of time into 3 major eras starting with the squad after Henry left, the last of the players with a winning mentality at Arsenal. I refer to the team of Fabregas, Nasri, Van Persie, Song, Clichy, Sagna and so on.

After it, the second era would be the squad after Fabregas and Nasri left, featuring the likes of Giroud, Santi Cazorla, Podolski, Gervinho and so on. And the third era is the one of Ozil, Cech and Sanchez. Now there have been some constants like Kos, Gibbs, Theo and maybe somebody else I am missing, but the one major constant around all of them is Arsene.

We changed the major stakeholder, we even changed the assistant manager. It doesn’t make much of a difference. We survived so many years in the top 4, but we never delivered a major trophy, neither was there too much competition. Now there are 6 clubs who are doing all their best to get to the top 4 and we’re struggling. I remember seasons where Arsene sacked the FA cup and the EFL cup, because he wanted the bigger trophies, yet he never got them.

The FA cup is nice, but truth is when the season starts the big teams look at the big prizes and the cup ain’t one of them. Now it’s become Wenger’s saving grace as he seeks more excuses as to why aren’t we doing what a top club does. If football clubs were castles, ours would be made of fog walls. On the surface we look all flashy and big, just like any other top teams fortress would, but punch it and you will go right through it.

After a long and patient wait, people have come to realise this and it could reach the point of no return. Twelve years we’ve been hearing all sorts of excuses and for quite a while people believed them, but repetitive failure is taking it’s slow toe on things and when Arsene signs that extension it will be a major breaking point.

The brainwashed fans, the terrible referees and those bad pundits who are all so at fault for our failure will only get bigger and stronger and rightly so, because Arsene will prove next year again he’s a bad manager. It’s really sad to hear that a plane could fly over the Hawthorns with a no new contract sign attached to it. It’s lowering Arsene to the level of David Moyes and I don’t think that after the patient old Arsenal fan has come to this, it could ever improve.

A lot of people want Arsene gone, just for the sake of change and feeling some passion for something unpredictable again! This is like the relationship you’re staying in just because, you’ve stayed in it too long. You’re afraid to let go, but you know happiness lies somewhere else for you and the other person and with time passing by it’s only getting worse.

The extension will be signed, but once the love is gone it’s only a matter of time until things fall apart. The fans have grown accustomed to failure 8-2 at Old Trafford, 6-0 at the Bridge, 10-2 on aggregate against Bayern. From now on it’s only getting worse for Arsene. I hope he can understand that.
