Bayern still want Alexis but won’t pay ‘crazy money’ if Arsenal block Man City offer

Despite Alexis Sanchez saying the other day that he knows what his future holds, the Arsenal rumours are saying that it is far from certain. It looked like Manchester City were sure to be offering Arsenal the best transfer fee possible and will probably pay Alexis the top wages that he seems to be demanding, but it would be a PR disaster for Wenger to allow the 28 year-old to join one of our rivals for the Premier League title.

According to today’s Mail, Wenger has told Sanchez that he will move abroad or nowhere, with the only top clubs willing to pay the best wages are likely to be PSG or Bayern Munich, but according to the Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti the Germans will not pay any ‘crazy sums’ to take him to the Allianz Arena.

“If an opportunity comes up, the club will be ready,” Ancelotti was quoted as saying. “There are lots of rumours. Alexis is a great player but not the only one in the world. I like Alexis.

“There are possibilities in the transfer market, which can be in many directions.

“I believe that the market is currently somewhat crazy – and Bayern is not a crazy club.

“I know the culture of this club and will not ask for any players for whom the club has to spend crazy sums, but if there are occasions, why not?”

So could Alexis still be joining his friend Arturo Vidal in Munich? Could Wenger really agree to lose money by turning down a mega-offer from Man City and let him go to Bayern on the cheap?
