Bellerin pledges future to Arsenal despite reported interest

Hector Bellerin has responded to all the speculation surrounding his future by pledging his future to Arsenal.

The full-back has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League, and is rated as one of the best players in his position in England currently.

Bellerin has since been linked with a host of clubs, including both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Barcelona and even Bayern Munich, but the Spain Under-21 international has played down such links.

The former Barcelona youth product is said to have been eyed as the long-term replacement for Dani Alves, who has just over a year remaining on his contract.

The young defender however is only interested in his current role in North London with Arsenal. He said: “I left Barca without looking back. I left focused on London and Arsenal and I am really happy there.

“I signed a new deal last year and there’s still a lot in front of me. It’s a club that’s forming a great team, with players like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

“My future is there and I am happy where I am. A lot of things can happen in football, but I am at Arsenal, giving my all for the club.

“I am not thinking of going anywhere else.”

Bellerin brings an attractive attacking threat to our side, and is quickly becoming one of my favourite players in the squad.

It is a shame he appears to be overlooked for the Spain international squad this summer, but hopefully that will favour us for the upcoming season, although the experience could have been a boost to his progression.

No doubt every Arsenal fan out there will join me in being happy that Bellerin is as happy with us as we are him.

Do you think he should be ahead of Juanfran, Cesar Azpilicueta or Dani Carvajal? The rest could be more important in the short-term…
