There is a new name in the frame to be the man to finally replace the long serving Arsene Wenger as the manager of Arsenal Football Club, and unless you are one of the football fans who keeps an eye on events in the football world outside England and the Premier League, it may well be a name that you are not familiar.
Ralph Hasenhüttl is certainly becoming more well known all the time, as his current club Red Bull Leipzig is the talk of Germany after a great start to the current season which sees them sitting on top of the Bundesliga table ahead of the usual suspects of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
The manager only joined the club in the summer and this is their first ever season in the top division of German football, which is not surprising as they were only formed in 2009, so their story is pretty remarkable and their coach is gaining a lot of respect for his tactical nous and ability to get the best from his players, even though Leipzig themselves are not too well loved in Germany as there is a belief that all their success is based on their financial power.
Whatever the case with the club, Hasenhüttl has been doing a great job and with just four games to go until the winter break he has a chance of earning the title of winter champion with second placed Bayern Munich three points behind.
The Sun reports that this great and unbeaten start to the season has alerted the Arsenal board who are now keeping a close eye on the 49-year old Austrian as a potential replacement for Wenger, whose current contract is only set to run until the end of this season.
