Chelsea v Arsenal prediction – a repeat perfomance?

Has there ever been a better time to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge? Not under Jose Mourinho, I’ll wager. The Slightly Ticked-Off One has overseen the Blues’ worst start to a Premier League campaign for 29 years, with his side sitting pretty at 17th in the table, having conceded the most goals in the league with 12. If Arsenal can topple Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, not only will it be sweet revenge for Wenger’s 1000th game debacle all those years ago, but it could push the malignant Jose ever closer toward the exit. Yes, we can start to dream.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have come up against each other 14 times, with the most recent match the 1-0 Arsenal win in the Community Shield. That was the first time the Gunners have bested a Mourinho Chelsea, and while everyone loves to write off the season opener as a glorified friendly, it has given Arsenal an edge. Namely, they can do it. It can be done. Chelsea under the Portuguese One are not infallible. Leave that to the Invincibles.

“Saturday is a big match, it’s a great rival. This result can put us in a better situation. We had too many bad results. We couldn’t have this one on top of it”, said Mourinho ahead of the match. The message is pretty clear. The Premier League champions cannot afford to lose any more ground on Manchester City. Sadly for them, Arsenal are more than capable of getting points off them this weekend.

Predict this weekend’s results with Football Pools

There have also been six draws out of the 14 encounters, which I’m sure will be of interest to those versed in the ways of The Football Pools. If you’re not, never fear. It’s simply cash prizes for predicting draws! Score draws, specifically – they’re what you’re after!

With the Pools, it’s all about the stalemates. Every weekend, of all the games across the main English leagues, 49 top fixtures will be picked out, and all you have to do is pick the ten that you think will end in a score draw.

Tens of thousands of pounds are up for grabs, and if you hit eight score draws from your ten, you’re guaranteed a big cash payout! A recent winner pocketed over £90,000, and all he did was pick out the draws!

And the best part? It only costs £1 to play!

To make things even more tempting, The Football Pools are offering your first four games for free when you choose to play by Direct Debit!

Like the sound of that? Well, a draw at the Bridge would be very welcome in my book. Especially if it helps me win in the Pools! But that would mean I need Chelsea to score..

Give it to Falcao, that’s always worth a giggle.
