If Arsenal can topple Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, not only will it be sweet revenge for Wenger’s 1000th game debacle all those years ago, but it could push the malignant Jose ever closer toward the exit. Yes, we can start to dream.
Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have come up against each other 14 times, with the most recent match the 1-0 Arsenal win in the Community Shield. That was the first time the Gunners have bested a Mourinho Chelsea, and while everyone loves to write off the season opener as a glorified friendly, it has given Arsenal an edge. Namely, they can do it. It can be done. Chelsea under the Portuguese One are not infallible. Leave that to the Invincibles.
