Chill! Arsenal can still make Top Four and win trophies this season…

One would assume that after seeing Arsenal lose their first two games to Man City and Chelsea the players would think they have an uphill battle to get back up the table and have a little bit of a confidence problem, but it seems that Emery has really got this team believing in themselves and confident of getting wins under their belt.

This is what Henryk Mkhiyaryan said yesterday: “I’m not just playing football to play, I’m always playing football to win games and titles. At the end of your football career, people are going to remember you for what you have achieved, what you have won. I’m playing to win titles, I’m doing my best for this club to win titles and of course that’s my main goal.”

“We don’t have any pressure,” he said. “We are not thinking that something is going wrong because we’re on the right way. Even if we lose the first two games, it doesn’t mean we’re not going to finish in the top four.

“We still have 36 games to go and anything can happen in the English Premier League, everybody knows that. We’re staying positive with our heads up, just working hard for the next games.”

That is the attitude we want to see from our players. They seem to really believe that Emery is going to make them into world beaters, and although they are still learning how the Spaniard wants them to play they know they are getting better every day. Maybe we can get on a winning run, starting today, and by the time we play City and Chelsea again they will know that it won’t be quite so easy.

Onwards and Upwards! Top Four here we come!
