Confident Arsenal MUST be ready for Tottenham fightback

If all goes according to current form then Arsenal should run out comfortable winners in the first north London derby of the season tomorrow. I firmly believe that we will as well, with Tottenham on a poor run of results and looking shorn of confidence and the Gunners looking strong all over the pitch and especially at the business end of putting the ball in the back of the net.

Having said all that, however, I think the game could be a lot tougher than many Arsenal fans expect and I really hope that the players are not taking this match too lightly. For one thing we hear all the time that a local derby can be a big leveller and that form goes out the window.

And however much we do not like to admit it, the spuds have become a formidable outfit under Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentinean was clearly fuming after their awful Champions League performance and you can be sure he will have laid down the law to his players in the last few days and I think we should expect a different Spurs at the Emirates.

Rather than expecting their recent games to be the model for their performance in the derby, I think the Gunners must expect a fightback. As long as we are ready for that we should be able to cope with it and win the match. How do you see this one panning out Gooners?
