Confirmed – Arsenal scouting skillful Turkish midfielder (plus video)

We are now less than a month away from the January transfer window and we should expect a rapid increase in the Arsenal transfer rumours coming through on the media from now on. Most of them will be pure speculation or made up without any basis in fact, but right now we have had confirmation that the Gunners have been looking at a young Turkish midfielder called Yusuf Yacizi, who currently plays for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 20 year-old only hit the first team last season but has already made 13 appearances for his club, after playing 18 times in the whole of last season, and has already played for the Turkey national side four times. He would appear to be extremely coveted in his home country and it won’t be long before he will be snapped up by a team from a bigger League, and it would appear that Arsenal are one of the teams scouting him right now, according to his agent Adem Cebeci.

He was quoted as saying: “There is no official offer for the player, there are clubs that [Trabzonspor president] Erkut Sogut has seen. England’s leading clubs are watching, and Arsenal coach Wenger watched and got notes about Yusuf,” he told Ajansspor.

The youngster would appear to be a much better buy than Arda Turan who has been linked with Arsenal for ever as he could have a long and successful career ahead of him. You can see some of his goals and skills from last season here.

What do you think? Should Arsenal go for him?
