Confirmed Arsenal team for trip to Huddersfield – Star man misses out

The Arsenal team has finally been confirmed for the trip up north, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ruled out as touted.

The Gabon international is claimed to be suffering with an illness, as announced by Unai Emery on Thursday, and he has failed to be named in the final 18 man match-day squad today.

His Emission will pose some questions of our strike-force, with PEA having notched up a massive 18 goals in all competitions so far this season, and Alexandre Lacazette will be the man with the extra pressure to put the ball into the net.

A rare start for Aubz fellow former Borussia Dortmund team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan may well be a risk, although Huddersfield’s form this season should hardly be frightening for us despite some key absences.

Our team has slipped down to sixth in the table, and with Man United on course to move four points clear of us and into fourth place today, we simply MUST win in order to keep our hopes of finishing in the Champions League places, and the form of the Red Devils will be hard to match.

The impetus of the departure of Mourinho has been a huge boost for United, and that will hopefully fizzle in the meantime, but we cannot afford to fall too far behind, and have to take advantage of the fact that rivals Chelsea take on City today also.

Should we be worried about the starting line-up? How bad is it that I’m not brimming with confidence when we are playing relegation-destined Huddersfield?
