Conte thinks Wenger should accept the good with the bad in referees decisions – And I agree!

The Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger seems to have gone to war with the referees after every single Arsenal game about each and every decision that is given against the Gunners. Some may think it is just a tactic by the Frenchman to deflect any criticism of his players and the Boss has made it clear that he is not interested in talking about the decisions that went in Arsenal’s favour.

When Wenger was complaining about the Hazard penalty (which not even every Arsenal fan thought was unfair) he was also reminded of an incident in which Jack Wilshere was thought to have dived in the same game, but Anthony Taylor decided not to punish. Le Prof said: “Yes, maybe he did but why should that change my opinion on the penalty? It’s got nothing to do with it.

“Every situation is different and has to be assessed by the referee. After that, you have your opinion and I have mine. I’ve been in the game long enough to know that everybody can have a different opinion.”

Has nothing to do with it? If Wilshere had been booked it would have been his second yellow and he wouldn’t have even been on the pitch to score his equalizing goal. How is that irrelevant?

Antonio Conte thinks that if Wenger studied the match carefully he would see that not every decision was given against Arsenal, which is how it should be, but why has Wenger got such a hard-on for the ones that are not in his favour? The Chelsea coach said said: “If Wenger watched the game again he would understand he was lucky in the game with the referee’s decisions,” Conte said.

“I don’t like to speak about the other coach or players. I think there is a form of respect that you must have. When we were 2-1 up and the defender slides before to take the ball, it was a chance to score.

“We must have respect for the referee’s decisions. He has to accept the decision. He’s an old coach with a lot of experience and he’s won a lot. He has to continue what he has done in the past.”

Everyone knows that it is always swings and roundabouts when it comes to refereeing. Nobody is perfect but the man in the middle has to make a quick decision and get the game flowing again. No one will ever be perfect, and no-one will praise the referee when they give a decision in your favour, but we just have to accept whatever and just move on, not talk about one little incident for the next two weeks!

I, for one, am sick of it. Are you?
