Could Arsenal v Tottenham game be the title decider?

Arsenal have already played one six-pointer ‘title decider’ against Leicester last week, but our traditional rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been winning consistently and quietly moved up to equal on points with us in second place in the Premiership.

Although we have the small matter of a couple of games against Barcelona coming up and a trip to Old Trafford next week, the Gunners legend Martin Keown thinks that our game at White Hart Lane on March 5th is the most important game in our calendar at the moment. “I think it has to be the biggest derby of Arsene Wenger’s reign, if not the biggest ever. It’s certainly the most important in the history of the Premier League,” Keown said.

“Without being disrespectful to Tottenham, this fixture lost some of its importance in recent years. Of course it’s a derby game you have to win but at Arsenal our rival became Manchester United, because they were the ones we were challenging for the league.

“Now with Tottenham performing as they are, I can’t think of a derby bigger than this.”

It is certainly going to be a six-pointer for sure, but unlike Wenger’s awful record against Jose Mourinho, Le Prof has an incredible record of never having finished below Tottenham in his 19 years at Arsenal, but we may have to beat them at White Hart Lane in just a couple of week’s time to maintain that record.

Are we worried?
