David Luiz cannot be allowed to bring his Chelsea baggage to Arsenal

There are reports doing the rounds that the reason the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard offloaded David Luiz to Arsenal is that he ignored team orders. If this is true in any form then it must be a massive cause for concern.

It is no secret that I have zero time for the Brazilian, I have made it absolutely clear numerous times on here that I believe he is very poor player, he is a huge liability, he adds nothing to the team, and that he is not an upgrade on Shkodran Mustafi, in fact, I believe he is a downgrade.

Now, you add into the mix that he will ignore team orders when he feels like it and it all adds up to Arsenal signing a player not fit for purpose on any level.

The “allegations” that the 32-year-old ignored Lampard surfaced in the Athletic, a respected journalistic based online website and subsequently picked up by the Metro in the mainstream media.

Apparently, Luiz ignored the Chelsea manager’s instructions to play out from the back in the pre-season game against Red Bull Salzburg and decided to go with long ball passes.

Now, it must be noted that is the exact tactic that Unai Emery employs, playing out from the back, and whether we like that strategy or not it is imperative that the players follow the manager’s explicit instructions.

Can you imagine what it will do to team morale if the senior players’ decide when they will obey team orders? What sort of message does that send to the younger players?
