If you take the word ‘pundit’ and remove and add a few other letters you can rearrange them to form the word ‘welshbellend’ which I’m pretty sure is a word…..
I read an article today relating to comments made by Dean Saunders about Ramsay and a potential move to Liverpool. He explained that he thought Ramsay would be a great addition to the Liverpool squad because of his ability to cover a lot of ground and scores goals…… ‘Ramsay would be a great squad player’…. I mean really, the captain of the Welsh team, scorer of the winning goal against Chelsea in our last FA Cup win…. making up the numbers at Liverpool.
Dean, mate, tell me something intuitive like Liverpool buying Ramsay would create an amazing link up to Salah or would form a solid partnership with Fabinho…..give me an expert’s insight into what his acquisition would do for Liverpool and why they might want to buy him.
I am a strong believer in geographics playing a significant role in peoples overall intelligence so it doesn’t surprise me that the ‘Welsh Wizard’ would make such ridiculous comments.
He went on to suggest it was Arsenal’s fault that they find themselves in a situation, like that of Sanchez and Ozil of recent past, where they have players entering the final year of their contracts and an opportunity to leave without a transfer fee going to the club.
Arsene Wenger flagged it up last year, and perhaps even before, that more players could now look to do this as they might earn a significant windfall by running down their contracts in this way.
Back to my point, it’s not Arsenal’s fault that they are entering the last year of Ramsay’s contract. Players and agents are in a ridiculously powerful position in football’s current negotiating climate. There is no industry in the world that is run by idiots when so much money is at stake. Agents and lawyers are in general terms way more astute than your average Welsh footballer and know exactly how to position their clients in order to make them as wealthy as possible.
So, in as much as Saunders is financially rewarded for his opinions it would be refreshing if those views were a tad more enlightening or accurate than his recent utter inane drivel.
News just in ‘Saunders believes it would confuse fans if both teams wore the same kit’…
