Disgusting Tottenham fans cheer Jack Wilshere’s injury

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was part of the Bournemouth team that got beaten 4-0 by Spurs at the weekend, but it seems that the highlight for some of the Spuds was the ankle injury sustained by Jack Wilshere towards the end of the game.

We all know that Jack has aimed some banter at Tottenham during his career, but cheering an injury to any player is frankly unacceptable, whoever he plays for. Wilshere’s Cherries teammate Steve Cook told the Mirror: “There’s obviously no love lost between Arsenal and Tottenham or between Jack and Tottenham fans but it’s not nice.”

“He’s a professional and whatever’s happened in the past no-one likes to see that sort of reaction to a player getting injured.

“That’s the game. But, for me, it’s disappointing.”

This ankle injury could be a real blow to Wilshere, who has managed to stay fit for nearly the whole of the season and is the player that has created the most chances for Bournemouth over the course of the campaign.

Wilshere left White Hart Lane on crutches and in an ankle brace but will be having a scan today to see if it is a recurrence of his previous ankle injury or not. We will just have to hope it is not serious bbut the way he hobbled off the field it is very worrying.

If he is out long-term again it will have a big impact on his expected summer contract talks and will certainly reduce the amount of teams that would be willing to make a bid if he doesn’t sign an extension with the Gunners…
