Do Morgan’s Mourinho comments show he’s NOT an Arsenal fan?

Every Arsenal fans has felt a certain amount of frustration at things that have happened with the team or the club in general, especially during the trophy drought after the Gunners left Highbury and were paying off the cost of building the new stadium.

Arsenal have now ended that long wait for a trophy and lifted the Community Shield three times in four years after first winning the FA cup at the end of the previous season, with the trio or triumphs at Wembley also making our club and Arsene Wenger record breakers in the famous old cup competition.

At the same time, though, you could say that we have looked further away than ever from winning the Premier League title or getting any closer to the Champions League, so after last season saw us drop into the Europa League for the first time in two decades the frustration of many fans is understandable.

That does not mean that I agree with a so-called Arsenal fan having nothing but negative things to say about the Gunners, especially when it comes from the smug mouth of Piers Morgan and seems to glorify our EPL rivals Man United and their insufferable manager Jose Mourinho, as Morgan’s comments reported by Metro have done.

Morgan has had plenty to say about Wenger in recent years, none of it good, and that is his prerogative I suppose but with his latest snippet I think he has gone too far and is not even being an Arsenal fan at all.

He said that Mourinho had said to him recently after a chance meeting, ‘I feel so sorry for you Arsenal fans. I have some very good friends who love Arsenal like you do and they are just as depressed as you about the club. They suffer so badly, it is a terrible thing to observe.

‘Mourinho then burst out laughing. “Terrible… hahahahaha.”

‘”How the hell is Arsene Wenger still in his job?” I [Morgan] asked. “No idea,” Mourinho smirked, “but I hope he stays in it for a very long time…”

Do me a favour Piers, if you love Mourinho and his new club so much, why don’t you forget about Arsenal and start supporting Man Utd? Plenty of glory hunters from down south do so.
