Does it look certain that Arsenal will sell Lacazette this summer?

Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal as their biggest ever signing this summer, and it seemed that his arrival would destroy Olivier Giroud’s chances of going to the World Cup with France this summer, as Laca would be playing regular football at Oli’s expense, with Giroud relegated to Europa League and League Cup games.

But in fact Wenger has hardly trusted Lacazette, and despite scoring freely in his first half dozen games for the Gunners, Wenger didn’t let him play a full 90 minutes more than a couple of times, and then he went all out to buy Aubameyang in January who has left Lacazette in Giroud’s old position on the bench.

According to Steve Nicol, it looks like Wenger has already given up on the man who was extremely prolific for his last three seasons at Lyon. I think this is a no-brainer,” the Liverpool legend told ESPN FC.

“If you’re Lacazette, do you want to stay at Arsenal?

“You’ve never been given a chance, they bring in another player in Aubameyang, which pretty much tells you you have no future at Arsenal, absolutely.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival should spell the end of Lacazette’s Arsenal career, says Nicol
“Wenger never gave him a chance, he never started him in the big games at the start of the season. Come January, he buys Aubameyang and he’s sitting on the bench again.

“There’s no future for this guy at Arsenal and the only way for this guy to get on the field is by leaving Arsenal.

“Regardless of how long he’s been there, which is not long, he has to move.”

This looks very similar to the way that Wenger treated Lucas Perez, and a few other strikers in the past. Perez only lated one season before returning to Deportivo, will Lacazette be returning to France just as quickly?
