Does Mesut Ozil deserve the tag of best No.10 in the world?

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has claimed that Mesut Ozil is the best attacking midfielder in the world, but is the Arsenal midfielder getting a little ahead of himself?

Don’t get me wrong, I love Ozil and when he is on form he is definitely amongst the best out there, but his inconsistencies surely rule him out as the creative best?

Much of the opening months of the campaign we had to endure what can only be described as a number of unmotivated performances, and thankfully over the last months he has been our best player.

The German international is our key performer currently, and should relish the creative talents that he is now working with in Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan, and the latter is also looking forward to working alongside his new partners in crime.

“Yes of course, not only us three but as well the players that are playing next to us.

“They are having a big impact on the team’s success and the playing style of Arsenal and of course we are trying to do the best.

“Everyone knows that Mesut is one of the best players in the world. ‘It’s only happiness and joy to play next to him because he understands very well the football game, he has great vision, he has amazing technique and he’s the best in his position.”

Does Ozil deserve the tag of best no. 10 in the world? When he is on form is there anyone who can compete?
