DONE DEAL? Schalke star 1st Arsenal signing of summer!

There have already been a large number of Arsenal transfer rumours in the football media about the young Bosnian international star Sead Kolasinic and his possible transfer to Arsenal this summer on a free transfer, but now it looks like the deal could already be done, with the Daily Express claiming that an announcement is imminent.

The paper claims that the deal has been done for some time, with Kolasinac coming to the end of his contract with the Bundesliga club Schalke at the end of the season. The reason for the delay in announcing the deal, according to the report, was the issue surrounding the future of Arsene Wenger as the Arsenal manager.

We still have to wait for an official announcement from the Gunners but whoever is in charge of the players Wikipedia page appears to have jumped the gun because he is being referred to as an Arsenal player already, although this could just be a bit of online mischief. His Wikipedia page says, or at least it did earlier, “He will be joining Arsenal on 1 July 2017,ahead of 2017-18 season.”

All signs point to this being true, though, especially the fact that the versatile star ( most often played at left back) will cost us nothing but the reported annual wages of £7.5 million. If that salary is correct it does show that Wenger and the club think very highly of him, so is the first Arsenal signing of the summer a very positive one indeed?
