Dortmund v Arsenal Preview, Line-up and Score Prediction

Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal Preview, Predicted line up and score line by KJ

The start of this season has been pretty tough with us having already played Everton and Manchester City as well as two crucial Champions League qualifier games. And it won’t let up either with a vital game against Dortmund in Germany for us to start our Champions League campaign.

Fortunately for us, they are suffering a multitude of injuries including the likes of Reus, Gundogan, Hummels etc. But we have injury worries for ourselves with Debuchy out until December and now it seems like Chambers won’t make the game after coming down with a virus. We now have to start the inexperienced Spaniard, Hector Bellerin in a vital Champions League game against the second best team in Germany who are renowned for applying immense pressure to the opposition at home.

Even though Dortmund are an extremely tough team, they are without key players and I expect us to cause them a lot of problems all over the pitch. We should be able to hurt them offensively with the likes of Sanchez and Welbeck. Hopefully Mesut will finally pick up his performances and I expect him to be up for a match against German opposition.

Predicted Line up:
Szczesny
Bellerin – Mertesacker – Koscielny – Gibbs
Arteta
Sanchez – Ramsey – Wilshere – Özil
Welbeck

Szczesny wasn’t at his best against City I felt and will need to improve his distribution for this game. He can’t afford to slip up with Ospina ready to pounce.

Wilshere will hopefully continue his amazing form into this game. This is the big test for him. Can he continue what he did against City in consecutive games against one of the top oppositions in Europe?

I expect Welbeck to have a slightly better game and hopefully as he gets more familiar with the team, his performances should improve.

This is going to be difficult but I expect us to give Dortmund a lot of trouble. I can see this finishing 1 – 1 and that suits us perfectly.
