Emile Smith Rowe has finally earned international recognition after being named in the latest England squad by Gareth Southgate, as reported by the Arsenal website.
The midfielder has been one of the Gunners’ best players in this campaign as he continues to score the goals and provide assists for them.
His fine form has even relegated summer signing Martin Odegaard to the bench in Arsenal’s recent matches.
It was only a matter of time before the midfielder earned a call-up to the senior England squad.
He has been an important member of the country’s Under-21 squad, but he will now mix it with the big boys in this international window.
Smith Rowe has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and has rightly earned his call-up to the senior England squad.
His teammate and fellow Arsenal academy graduate, Bukayo Saka has become a mainstay in the senior England national team and was even a part of the squad at Euro 2020.
Smith Rowe would hope he can also establish himself in the Three Lions squad, but he knows the competition for a place is fierce and he has to be at his best all the time to keep getting called up.
